The IKP approach always creates a connection to the here and now. This is achieved by bringing bodily sensations and emotions into consciousness. The topics discussed on a cognitive level are allocated in the body, creating a connection between thoughts and body perception. The addition of body-centered suggests a differentiation from pure talk therapy. The approach is based on Gestalt therapy. You can find more information on this page or on the official website of the Institute for Body-Centered Psychotherapy IKP.
Yes. Everything you share with me is treated with strict confidentiality. I am bound by professional confidentiality — including towards authorities or courts. Your trust is held in a protected and respectful space.
Yes. People also come to me after having previous therapeutic experiences — whether in talk therapy, clinical settings, or other forms.
My work is not a substitute, but rather an independent approach that can open up new perspectives. It often complements what came before — or approaches things from a different angle.
Yes. In such cases, complementary counselling can be a supportive interim option. Whether this is suitable for your situation is something we can explore in a personal conversation. If you are already in psychological or psychiatric treatment, a mutual release from confidentiality is required for us to work together. This allows – if needed – for an exchange with your therapist that supports your ongoing process.
The focus of my work is on individual guidance. However, in certain cases, it can be helpful to involve a second person temporarily – for example, to clarify a relationship situation or as part of a process. Whether this is appropriate, we will decide together.
Yes. You don’t need to have a clear topic or specific concern. Especially in the first session, it’s about finding orientation, putting vague feelings into words, and exploring together what might be moving or affecting you on a deeper level. Sometimes it’s enough just to sense that something feels off. The rest can unfold naturally during the conversation.
Many men often find it unusual or challenging to talk about feelings, vulnerability, or inner tensions. It’s perfectly okay if you can’t immediately put into words what’s going on — or if closeness feels unfamiliar at first. I work calmly, without pressure, and support you with clarity and respect. You don’t need to be prepared to be welcome.
Billing is not done on a monthly basis but per individual session. A few days after the most recent session, an invoice including a QR payment slip will be sent to the agreed email address. The payment term is ten days from the date the invoice is delivered.
Yes. A separate Twint link for direct payment is included in the invoice email. The QR code on the invoice is for bank transfers only and cannot be used with Twint.
Please note: Twint payments incur small transaction fees (1.35% plus CHF 0.30 per payment). To avoid transaction fees, bank transfer remains a simple and convenient option.
No. The sessions are not covered by health insurance and must be paid for privately. Therefore, billing through basic or supplementary insurance is not possible. Some clients even find that taking personal financial responsibility for the sessions becomes part of the process — reinforcing their commitment to themselves.
For individual sessions, I do not offer installment payments. However, if you book a framework agreement for three sessions, paying in installments is possible. Feel free to get in touch if you’re interested — we’ll work together to find what suits you best.
In individual cases, it’s possible to adjust the payment deadline to fit your personal circumstances or financial situation. Please contact me as soon as possible and let me know your situation — together we’ll find a solution.
